Sydney Contemporary 2026

Sydney Contemporary is just around the corner! I’m very excited to be making my debut at the fair this year, showing with Martin Browne Contemporary at Booth C08. Held at Carriageworks, Sydney Contemporary is Australasia’s leading contemporary art fair, bringing together galleries and artists from across Australia and around the world. This year’s fair runs from 3rd – 6th of September and includes gallery presentations alongside installations, performances, talks and other events across the four days.
I’ll be showing a selection of blown glass works spanning both sides of my practice, including amphoras from my Modern Relic series and some of my newer botanical sculptures. The amphoras take inspiration from ancient artefacts to capture the familiar rituals and small absurdities of contemporary life, while the botanical works draw on vintage botanical illustration and the decorative arts, combining intricate sandcarving and engraving with hand-applied precious metal leaf.
Martin Browne Contemporary will be presenting eleven artists across painting, glass and sculpture: Kevin Chin, Adrienne Gaha, Marlene Gilson, Ildiko Kovacs, Bronte Leighton-Dore, Michael McHugh, Alexander McKenzie, Sam Michelle, Sally Ross, Ebony Russell and myself.
You can have a sneak peek at the works heading to Sydney in the full Martin Browne Contemporary catalogue. If you’re heading to Sydney Contemporary, you’ll find us at Booth C08 at Carriageworks.
